Daikin is to distribute the residential ventilation units manufactured by Belgian company Duco.

Under the agreement, Daikin will distribute Duco’s residential ventilation units across Europe, beginning with Duco’s centralised heat recovery ventilation (CHRV) units. The Duco units allow Daikin to expand its residential portfolio and includes a complete range of ducting accessories.

Established in 1991, Duco occupies ultra-modern premises along the E40 motorway in Veurne. The company has grown into a key European player in the field of natural ventilation and solar shading systems.

Duco’s CHRV unit recovers up to 90% of the heat of the exhaust air. Equipped with sensors, they automatically control the level of CO2 and humidity in a room.

“This collaboration is the perfect occasion for Daikin to further develop its residential business pillar. The ventilation sector is expected to grow strongly in the coming years. Pushed by the Covid-19 pandemic, people are more aware of the need for good ventilation for a healthy indoor environment. When they build or renovate their home, ventilation has become top of mind next to other basics such as heating and cooling.” said Anthony Dimou, general manager of sales in Daikin Europe.
