AUSTRALIA: Daikin will combine its Adelaide business with a 7,580 m 2 office, warehouse and showroom at the city’s Royal Park Distribution Centre.

A Japanese air conditioner manufacturer has taken a 10-year lease on premises located 8.5 kilometers northwest of Adelaide’s CBD.

The website of real estate investment firm Centennial quoted Michael Trad, Daikin Australia’s general manager of supply chain and information technology, as saying the company was attracted to Royal Park due to factors such as geographic location, size and marketability. “Proximity to ports and Daikin customers has provided us with a solution that will increase our efficiency in the market.

“The investment to centralize all of our Adelaide business in one location will demonstrate the consolidation of government sales and service offices; a new modern training academy; a dealer and parts store, and a Daikin-managed warehouse stocking the full range of Daikin Australia products, both Australian and imported,” he added.
