JAPAN: A new 21-storey office block in Yokohama is to incorporate an optimal air volume control air conditioning system developed by Daikin in collaboration with Japanese construction company Kajima Corporation.
USA: Daikin has acquired ABCO HVACR Supply + Solutions, a leading distributor of Mitsubishi Electric and other air conditioning and refrigeration systems and accessories in northeast USA.

An A2L refrigerant, R455A is designed for use in new equipment. It is described as a close capacity match to R404A in commercial refrigeration low temperature applications but claims a greater operating efficiency. A blend of R1234yf (75.5%), R32 (21.5%) and CO2 (3%), it has a GWP of 146.
Chinese media sources have reported sharp rises in both raw material and HFC refrigerant prices this month. The price of R410A has risen by more than 35% since the beginning of this month. R125, a major component of R410A, has risen by more than 75% and, as of December 16, the average price of refrigerant R134a was up 11% from the beginning of the month.
USA: Daikin’s US subsidiary Goodman Distribution has acquired Robinson Plumbing & Heating Supply Co, its Massachusetts-based distributor of Goodman, Amana and Daikin residential unitary and light commercial products.
