USA: Daikin Applied has introduced enhanced R32 versions of its Trailblazer AGZ-F air-cooled scroll chiller, Maverick II monocooked rooftop system and SmartSource water-heat pump to the US market.

The new models have been specifically redesigned for R32, which, in addition to the lower GWP, provides additional benefits such as high full and part load efficiency, lower weight and footprint, and easier maintenance.

“We decided to upgrade our equipment specifically for R32 to provide a range of benefits beyond the refrigerant’s GWP value,” said Jim Macosko, vice president of sustainability products and solutions at Daikin Applied.

“For example, with the Trailblazer AGZ-F, we were able to eliminate a number of V-coils and reduce the size of the cooler thanks to the superior performance and efficiency of R32. Smaller, lighter, more efficient – these are benefits that provide value throughout the life cycle of the machine and system.”

Pioneer AGZ-F

The Trailblazer AGZ-F air-cooled scroll chiller offers reduced footprint, weight and refrigerant charge, as well as improved integrated part load performance compared to previous models. With a range from 30 to 240 tons, the Trailblazer serves a variety of applications, from mission-critical buildings and data centers to hospitals and manufacturing plants.

Maverick II

The Maverick II is a commercial packaged rooftop system weighing between 30 and 50 tons with a variety of factory-installed options such as energy recovery and modulating hot gas reheat. The Maverick II is considered an ideal option for buildings between one and three stories tall, including offices, schools, libraries, and more.

SmartSource WSHP

SmartSource WSHP horizontal and vertical configurations in 2 to 6 ton capacities now offer a standard two-stage compressor option, providing high efficiency, low noise levels, high indoor air quality and constant air temperature.
