BELGIUM: Daikin has initiated the second phase of its certified partner programme in preparation for the arrival of the Altherma 4, its first heat pump with R290 refrigerant.
The European subsidiary of the Japanese manufacturer, first unveiled its certified partner programme last year, to build on its existing training at the Daikin Academy.
The programme offers training with a focus on safety and quality of installation, and allows installers to obtain a certified partner label.
Following the recent successful launch in Germany, the second certification will focus on both online and physical training in commissioning, maintenance and repair activities on Daikin’s Altherma 4, which will operate with flammable R290 refrigerant.
“This extended programme emphasises the importance of training and safety for Daikin,” stated Daikin Europe’s general manager heating and renewables Patrick Crombez.
The complete Stand by Me – Certified Partner programme allows installers to manage all of Daikin’s residential heat pump technologies, including the upcoming Daikin Altherma 4 series. Open for all installers, over 1000 are said to have joined since it started in September.
The second certification involves two online training sessions of 45 minutes each. These sessions cover topics related to the safety, storage, transportation, installation, maintenance, repair, and disposal of Daikin’s R290 Altherma 4.
Once the online training is completed, installers are encouraged to participate in the follow-up training session, held in person on 2 separate days at one of Daikin’s various training centres.
