OSAKA — Japan’s Daikin Industries has established a Taiwanese joint venture to sell large industrial air conditioners on the island, the company said Wednesday, targeting chipmakers like Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.
Daikin (Taiwan) Air Conditioning Systems was established in August with local industrial air conditioner maker Leading Electric & Machinery as well as Hotai Development, Daikin’s Taiwanese distributor.
