Daikin has around 5,000 engineers in charge of repairs across the Americas, Europe, Asia and elsewhere.
OSAKA — Japanese air conditioner manufacturer Daikin Industries will bring on board 1,000 repair and maintenance engineers worldwide over the next year or so, looking to bolster its image as a brand with solid after-sales services as air conditioner demand increases.
Although Daikin is working to automate parts of the air conditioner manufacturing process, automating the service side is more difficult. The company currently has around 5,000 engineers in charge of repairs distributed relatively evenly across the Americas, Europe, Asia and elsewhere.
