GERMANY: Daikin has become the new sponsor of German handball, the second largest team sport in the country.
Sponsorship with Germany’s national handball association DHB and its professional league HBL was signed on 30 April ahead of the Men’s International EURO Cup against Spain in Berlin’s Max-Schmeling-Halle.
“At Daikin, we are thrilled to be entering into this partnership and look forward to supporting both the men’s handball Bundesliga and the men’s and women’s national teams in their future success,” said Philip De Graev, Managing Director of Daikin Deutschland.
Sponsorship includes, among other things, various advertising placements such as Daikin stickers around the perimeter and on the floor at all international matches of the men’s and women’s teams, as well as at the REWE Final4 and Pixum Super Cup.
