UK: Daikin has opened its eighth Sustainable Homes Centre at the Harris & Bailey site in Croydon.

The Daikin Sustainable Home Centre serves as a knowledge hub for those interested in heating and cooling, as well as a place where installers can advise their customers and where Harris & Bailey can train the next generation of low carbon heating engineers.

The aim of the centre is to give installers the opportunity to embrace renewable heat and encourage them to replace their boiler, old heat pump or any other heat source with a Daikin Altherma H HT to receive £500 cash back or a credit from Daikin.

The opening ceremony was attended by Olivia Smalley, head of policy and communications at the Heat Pump Association, as well as Natasha Irons, Labour MP for Croydon West, and Councillor Jeet Baines, cabinet member for planning and regeneration.

Harris & Bailey sales manager David Harger said the centre would provide cutting-edge solutions for homeowners, as well as support and training for local installers to help them embrace sustainable heating technologies.

“Our partnership with Daikin underlines our commitment to promoting renewable energy and supporting local communities on their journey to a greener future,” he said. “By equipping local professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to install and maintain these cutting-edge systems, we are nurturing a new generation of heating engineers who can contribute to a more sustainable future.”
