SAUDI ARABIA: Daikin has opened its first factory in Saudi Arabia for the production of air conditioners and other air conditioning applications.

The new Daikin Middle East and Africa FZE (Daikin MEA) plant, Daikin’s second plant in the Middle East after Dubai, is part of the company’s five-year growth plan for the Middle East region.

The custom-built premises are located in the industrial city of Sudair, 160 km northwest of Riyadh. It will be operated by Daikin Saudi Arabia, a subsidiary of Daikin MEA.

“At the plant, we will produce high-quality applied air conditioning products, including air handling units, air filtration units and energy recovery fans. We are very proud that they will now carry the “Made in Saudi Arabia” label,” said Takayuki Kamekawa, Vice President Sales Partner Network Daikin Europe.
