UK: Daikin has announced the launch of the CZ-HT high temperature R454C air-to-water inverter heat pump.
First announced in September, the CZ-HT system is claimed to provide a high temperature, low carbon solution, achieving heated water temperatures of 70°C in all weather conditions.
The CZ-HT also operates in high ∆T conditions, providing hot water to various heating systems in the installation room.
The heat pump, available in nine sizes ranging from 19 to 70 kW, features Daikin inverter scroll compressors with vapour injection, Daikin-designed EC fans and a heat exchanger with copper tubes and aluminium fins.
CZ-HT is suitable for various applications such as comfort heating, hot water supply and comfort cooling in all commercial and large residential premises such as offices, gyms, hotels, hospitals and student residences.
Additionally, the CZ-HT is ideal for both new and retrofit installations and is a direct replacement for commercial fossil fuel fired boilers.
It also uses R454C refrigerant class A2L with a GWP of 148.
All devices in the series can be configured to operate in low noise mode.
The CZ-HT control logic provides operational flexibility covering both comfort and domestic hot water production, including a legionella control function for the external storage tank.
Integrated defrost logic ensures that multiple units have consecutive defrost cycles, ensuring that no more than one unit in a group is defrosted at a time. Up to four units can be optimized.
