USA: Daikin has advanced to the final round of the US Department of Energy’s Cold Climate Residential Heat Pump Technology Competition after successfully completing several field trials.

Launched in 2021, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Cold Climate Residential Heat Pump program aims to foster collaboration among manufacturers, utilities, and other stakeholders to develop next-generation heat pump technology that can provide reliable, energy-efficient heating in extreme winter conditions.

“Our collaboration with the Department of Energy underscores our mission to accelerate decarbonization goals in the U.S. and Canada through innovative, energy-efficient inverter heat pump technology,” said Takayuki Inoue, executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer at Daikin.

“This task plays a crucial role in raising public awareness, which will facilitate the adoption of advanced heating solutions,” he added.
