BELGIUM: Daikin Europe has announced the expansion of its cloud services to include domestic air-to-air heat pumps and split systems.

The Daikin Cloud Service (DCS) Residential provides installers with tools to remotely monitor and control residential unit settings across a range of parameters, while enabling rapid diagnosis and resolution of service issues.

The remote access capabilities offered by Daikin Cloud Service Residential allow installers and engineers to work from anywhere in the world. They can stay connected to monitor, fine-tune and manage installed systems 24/7. Online access facilitates proactive fault analysis and reduces intervention times for faster, more efficient service.

It allows installers to access user controls to remotely monitor and adjust settings when problems arise due to setup errors. It also provides control over a wide range of settings on-site and allows installers to fine-tune more complex settings. These include, for example, fireplace adjustments, Daikin intelligent eye technology operation and targeted room temperature correction.

With 36 D-checker data points and the ability to view two months of historical data, installers can continuously monitor critical information for their homes. A new visualization feature with a new graphical display and error code availability simplifies trend analysis and speeds problem identification.

With DCS Residential, Daikin insists that simple system issues without product or part defects, which account for more than half of customer calls, can be quickly resolved by adapting user and field settings remotely online. For more complex scenarios that require a home visit, remote monitoring allows for advance planning and ordering of parts.
