Our thoughts go out to the victims who were hit by the devastating floods of the past week. Dramatic human suffering, and immense material damages will take years to restore. With Daikin, we take our responsibility towards our local community seriously. In order provide a quick relief for the most urgent needs, we have decided to make an immediate financial donation in the three countries that are hit most by the floods. Therefore, Daikin Europe’s subsidiaries in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands will contribute via the Red Cross and National Disaster Relief Fund.
This is the second donation in 1 month time by Daikin Europe Group and following adverse weather events. Last month our three companies in the Czech Republic, besides a financial donation, donated equipment for rebuilding the houses destroyed during the Hodonin tornado in South-Moravia. This tornado occurred close to the Daikin heatpump factory in Brno.
