BELGIUM/SWEDEN: Daikin has acquired Swedish domestic heat pump service company Kylslaget.
Founded in 2007, Kylslaget AB has 32 employees and can serve 95% of Swedish households thanks to its presence in key areas around Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. It currently covers more than 7,000 maintenance services per year.
According to Daikin, the acquisition will strengthen the nationwide residential service network in Sweden, increase the number of service technicians and further expand Daikin’s service technician training programs.
Commenting on the Kylslaget business, Daikin Sweden Managing Director Stefan Kupani said: “They have built up a strong service capability and an outstanding training programme for technicians. We look forward to sharing our combined HVACR technology knowledge and using their expertise to further develop our nationwide service organisation in Sweden.”
This latest Scandinavian deal follows Daikin’s acquisition of BKF Klima in Denmark last year. Sweden has one of the highest concentrations of heat pumps in Europe, with around 437 heat pumps per 1,000 households.
Scandinavia is seen as an important market for Daikin. Daikin Sweden was founded in 2008, Daikin Norway and Daikin Finland in 2018, and Daikin Denmark in 2024.
