SAUDI ARABIA: Daikin will open a new plant for the production of chillers and hydraulic heat pumps in Jeddah.

This facility is described as part of a structured expansion of operations in the region following the establishment of a plant in the UAE in 2014 and another plant in Saudi Arabia to produce ventilation units and other air conditioning applications in 2022.

Daikin did not disclose the size of the new plant, its potential capacity or the level of investment, but production will start with Daikin’s large air-cooled chillers. The portfolio will be expanded later in line with changing market needs.

The facility will serve the needs of regional customers in the Kingdom and the wider region, and will be a continuation of Daikin’s previous investment in 2022 in the Sudair Industrial City facility near Riyadh.
