JAPAN: Daikin will reduce its air conditioner recycling fee in Japan from February thanks to improved recycling efficiency at its recycling plants.
The current fee of 990 Japanese yen (≈5 euros) will be reduced to (≈3 euros) from February 1st in accordance with Japan’s Home Appliance Recycling Law.

This included 5,924 tons of iron, 1,570 tons of copper, 555 tons of aluminum, 8,247 tons of mixed non-ferrous and ferrous composite materials, 342 tons of fluorocarbons, and 3,716 tons of other valuable materials.
