United Kingdom: Daikin has expanded its range of Multi+ air-to-air air conditioning and heat pumps for water supply and air conditioning for large households and medium-sized businesses.
Considered a replacement option for domestic hot water and space heating systems where air conditioning is also required, the Multi+ range now includes two new larger outdoor units and a 230 litre floor standing domestic hot water tank.
The new outdoor units, rated at 6.8 kW or 9.0 kW for cooling and 8.60 kW or 10.00 kW for heating, allow for the connection of up to four indoor units in addition to the domestic hot water tank. They join the smaller 5.2 kW 4-port system and 120 litre wall-mounted tank launched last year.
The increased capacity provides greater flexibility in configuring indoor climate solutions and offers a variety of indoor units, including wall-mounted, floor-standing and ceiling-mounted models, to meet individual needs.
Multi+ mode is supported in the Daikin Onecta app, compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This allows you to schedule, manage and monitor individual indoor units and the hot water system from anywhere.
The Multi+ system is compatible with Daikin’s innovative Easyzone system. This allows multiple zones to be served by a single fan coil, effectively increasing the number of rooms the unit can serve and making it a more viable and cost-effective solution.
Multi+ programmable settings allow users to set priorities for space heating, cooling and domestic water heating (DHW) according to their preferences. Space heating and DHW heating can operate simultaneously for maximum comfort and efficiency.
Stefan Lang, Daikin’s residential product specialist, said the Multi+ heat pump has several innovative design features based on cutting-edge technology. Among them is a new fan design with specially shaped blades, which are said to significantly reduce sound pressure and energy consumption.
