United Kingdom: Daikin UK has officially opened its new Manchester Training Academy, offering both Daikin product courses and industry-accredited heat pump training.

The new academy premises include three modern training rooms equipped with the latest Daikin technology.

A standout addition is a realistic house facade with a living room and drying cabinet, as well as a fully functional heating and cooling system. According to Daikin, this exciting installation will allow participants to practice their installations in conditions that closely replicate a real-life home environment.

It also includes an interactive zone dedicated to virtual reality learning and an interactive control wall, offering innovative learning methods that complement traditional hands-on learning.

The academy will offer a range of training courses, including Daikin product courses and industry-accredited training for heat pump and renewable energy installers, social housing providers and developers. In addition, the academy also offers training in the installation of Daikin low temperature, high temperature, hybrid and air-to-air cooling and heating systems – from level 1 to level 3, as well as courses in service, troubleshooting and maintenance of various technologies.

The opening follows the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Greater Manchester United Authority, part of a five-year collaboration agreement aimed at expanding low-carbon heating in the city region and achieving the goal of carbon neutrality by 2038.
